Extremely Useful Comparison Between Past Economic Collapse of the USSR and Potential Economic Collapse of the USA

I’ve read previous articles by Dimitri Orlov, a fellow who lived through the (economic and governance) collapse of the Soviet Union.

My sense is that he knows what he is talking about.  He makes comparisons with respect to the state of the society and its infrastructures and attitudes towards living, working, spending, providing for ourselves and getting along together in some sense of society.
