“Rich powerful people don’t give a fig for religion. (Saudi Royals included.) It is a pious sham which permits them to cynically impose conduct on the lower classes, here who must fight (and pray), medicine live in misery, turn on the TV and shut up.
Oh, flying flags is fine too. If poor befuddled jihadis can be inflamed to the point of murdering for Allah, all the better; shows how crazed the enemy is and how important religion is.
What for? The US intends to control the world energy supply. If it is to survive, it has to do that. The Americans have known this for 30 years at least. It will ‘take’ the ME oil fields and bust OPEC.”
